Are you sick of having to continually re-hash your life story for people?
Nah, it's cool. I mean I'm happy about where I'm at now from where I came from. So I kinda enjoy being able to tell that story because the ending is getting better and better!!

I'm assuming you could've just got by on mixtapes alone if it hadn't kicked off for you because you're making money, it's going hand over fist and it's going directly in your pocket...

You know what? Through the mixtape circuit I actually put out a album independently and it did well. 'Guess Who's Back' was the highest selling independent album.


So why go in with Em and Dre (apart from the obvious attraction to their music and them as people). Why get in the record company structure again? 
For everything else that comes with being successful as an artist. The notoriety - for people to recognise your talent. At the end of the day I felt like just sayin' Eminem's sales weren't strugglin' Dr Dre's sales weren't strugglin' and I felt like it was because they were putting together the type of projects that have been really quality projects!


You’ve talked about success making you a role model. Is it something you’re comfortable with?

I don't think it makes me a role model. I think it makes me inspiring. Cos I'm from the bottom I think they look at me and go 'well, if he made it, I can make it'. Now me myself, I'm not particularly considering myself a role model 'cos I'm not sensitive, I give people things exactly the way they are, and if they're ready to absorb it they will, and if they aren't they won't.
