The shooting took place on May 24 at 11:22 a.m. on 161st Street in the Jamaica section of Queens, according to a police spokesperson. Front of his grandmother home on 161 st. in Jamaica section of Queens New York. When he seat on backseat another car pulled up. Someone crawled out of the back and came up on 50's left side with a gun cocked. 50 Cent was shot 9 times: in chest, jaw, hand and legs. One of the bullets lodged in his lower gum. He got 9mm bullet to the face. There's still a gaping wound where several of his rear teeth used to be and a noticable bullet would across his left cheek. The men drove themselves to Jamaica Hospital after the shooting, where they were admitted. 50 Cent was admitted for surgery Wednesday morning, according to Jamaica Hospital spokesperson Michael Hink. As of Wednesday morning, 50 Cent was in stable condition. Because of a family request that no more information be given to the press, his current condition were unknown. 50 survived 9 bullet wounds and were only in the hospital for 13 days, that's basically a medical miracle. After this 50 Cent allways wear bulletproof vest, he got less six bodyguards and bulletproof vehicle. A few weeks later, the shooter was murdered, but 50 Cent denies involvement. Several well-publicized incidents have taken place between 50 Cent and fellow Queens resident Ja Rule, including a scuffle between the two MCs in an Atlanta party for Ja Rule and an alleged stabbing incident at New York's Hit Factory recording studio. But wounds was only on of his problems. Columbia Records dropped him from the label. 50 Cent says - " To them, people [like me] only get shot on TV. I was shot three days before I was supposed to shoot my first video ("Thug Love" with Destiny's Child). They freaked out. Major labels would prefer to work with "studio gangstas," it's less of a risk." But all things that happened then had good side: if 50 didn't get shot, he wouldn't have gotten dropped from Columbia... If he hadn't been dropped from Columbia ... he wouldn't be in the situation he's in now...
